March 16, 2011 - Windows 7: Remove Live Messenger From TaskBar

1. Sign out and close MSN

2. Find msn in "Start" menu and right click on it
3. Select properties (Screen 1)
4. Click on "Compatibility" tab
5. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
6. Select "Windows Vista" in drop down (Screen 2)
7. Click on "Apply"

In order to keep it in the "Notifications area" follow same instructions as for Skype here http://www.superiorwebsys.com/blog/79/Windows_7:_Remove_Skype_Icon_From_Taskbar
